Corrosive environmentsdestroy sheet-metal power plants.

Moisture, salt, chlorine, and ammonia take a heavy toll on metal equipment. An air-handling unit made of galvanized sheet metal begins to deteriorate as early as its first year in a corrosive environment. Rust pierces the panels, seals fail, and maintenance costs rise until the unit must be completely replaced.

We observe this cycle in processing plants, washing rooms, and wet process areas.

This is where Basiclim® makes a real difference: this corrosion-resistant air handling unit replaces sheet metal with polyester composite walls. The material does not rust, does not oxidize, and is resistant to both water and detergents. You get the durability of polyester in a simple and more economical design.

Basiclim®:
—the durability of polyester, without the high cost of ultra-hygiene.

A proven and affordable assembly system using pultruded profiles.

The Basiclim® is made entirely of fiberglass-reinforced polyester (FRP). Its walls are assembled using pultruded profiles, also made of polyester, to ensure uniform corrosion resistance. No metal is exposed to aggressive environments, so no weak points develop over time.

This assembly method simplifies manufacturing and reduces the purchase cost of your power plant. You’re investing in the material’s durability exactly where it matters most for your plant. It’s the ideal solution when corrosion is your main concern and there are no strict sanitary requirements.

Tried-and-true components, optimized power consumption.

Energy efficiency is built in from the design stage.

The Basiclim® features high-efficiency EC fans, whose speed adjusts according to your actual needs. The cooling heat exchanger rests on a stainless steel pan with a siphon, and the filters can be selected based on your application.

Want to take it a step further? The Basidouble Flux option adds heat recovery using a plate heat exchanger or a heat recovery wheel. Your air handling unit with heat recovery recovers energy from the exhaust air and reduces your energy bill as soon as it’s put into service.

A design tailored to your specific requirements.

Airflow rates ranging from 2,900 to 26,500 CFM, in a compact design.

Each Basiclim® unit is configured to meet your project’s needs, with airflow rates ranging from 2,900 to 26,500 CFM (5,000 to 45,000 m³/h). The maximum width of 8 ft 2 in (2.5 m) makes it easy to transport and integrate into your mechanical spaces. Installation can be done indoors or outdoors, depending on your site’s layout.

The housing is resistant to humid, saline, chlorinated, and ammonia-laden environments, and is also impervious to UV rays, rain, and frost. Your CTA for saline or humid environments thus maintains its integrity year after year.

Sodistraleis the manufacturer; Soteck Clauger is the exclusive distributor in Canada.

We combine the expertise of a European pioneer with our Quebec know-how.

Sodistra has been designing polyester composite air-handling solutions since 1971. Its systems are used in Europe’s most demanding environments: the food processing industry, cleanrooms, hospitals, and the pharmaceutical industry. Soteck Clauger is the exclusive distributor of the Saniclim® line throughout Canada.

Our role goes far beyond simply supplying the product: we select components tailored to the North American market and assemble the units in Canada. Our teams analyze your airflow requirements, size the system, perform the installation, and train your staff. We then remain your single point of contact throughout the unit’s entire lifecycle.

North American certifications and approvals are currently being validated.

Saniclim® or Basiclim®: Which One Should You Choose?

Two product lines, the same material, two levels of quality.

Basiclim® is the anti-corrosion solution that protects your investments in humid and harsh environments.

Saniclim® offers superior hygiene: a laminated construction without screws or rivets, complete thermal break, and a drainage floor. It is the ideal solution when health code compliance and condensation are your top priorities.

Your production environment will guide your choice, and our experts are here to help you make that decision. Visit the Saniclim® page to explore the complete hygienic product line.

We provide maintenance for your power plant, season after season.

Your BASiclim® is integrated into our service and maintenance programs.

An efficient power plant requires structured monitoring, from commissioning through to the end of its service life. Our service teams inspect the housing, filters, and components at regular intervals.

We serve all of Eastern Canada, with emergency service available around the clock. A preventive maintenance program extends the life of your equipment and ensures consistent performance, year after year.

5 Frequently Asked Questions About the Basiclim® Unit

Both product lines use the same corrosion-resistant polyester composite, but their construction differs. Basiclim® uses pultruded profiles, a simple and cost-effective approach. Saniclim® adds screw- and rivet-free lamination, complete thermal break, and a drainage floor.

Choose based on your hygiene and condensation requirements.

Yes. The polyester composite walls are resistant to water and common industrial detergents, and they do not rust or oxidize. For strict sanitation protocols involving harsh cleaning agents and cleaning-in-place procedures, Saniclim® remains the recommended solution.

Absolutely. The polyester liner is resistant to UV rays, rain, frost, and thaws. The 8 ft 2 in (2.5 m) size makes it easy to lift, and our teams coordinate transportation, crane operations, and installation.

The product line covers airflow rates ranging from 2,900 to 26,500 CFM (5,000 to 45,000 m³/h).

Each unit is configured to meet your needs: heat exchanger, filtration, and modulating EC fans. For higher airflow rates or ultra-hygienic requirements, the Saniclim® takes over, handling up to 147,000 CFM (250,000 m³/h).

Yes, with the Basidouble Flow option: a plate heat exchanger or a heat recovery wheel transfers energy from the exhaust air to the supply air. This option reduces your heating consumption and speeds up your return on investment. Our experts calculate the energy savings based on your actual operating conditions.

The right partner for anti-corrosion air treatment makes all the difference.

Choosing an anti-corrosion CTA for your plant requires more than just a catalog: you need a partner who understands your production environments.

Our teams deliver projects at food processing and manufacturing plants throughout Eastern Canada. We size each polyester composite air handling unit based on your airflow rates, temperatures, and space constraints.

We also replace corroded air handling units at existing sites. Are you comparing options for your humid or saline environment? Our engineers will review your plans and recommend the Basiclim® configuration best suited to your site.
