His role is to guide technical choices, structure design approaches and ensure consistency between performance, energy efficiency and conditions on the plant floor.
From pipes to engineering teams
A native of Centre-du-Québec and coming from a family with a background in the plumbing business, Pierre-André developed a practical understanding of construction sites and industrial processes at a very early age.
With a degree in mechanical engineering, he specializes in building mechanical systems and energy efficiency. From the start of his career, he has been involved in projects related to design, cost estimation, and process support systems, particularly in the agri-food industry.
In 2011, he took on the role of managing an engineering team. This step allowed him to develop a comprehensive vision that incorporated technical, human, and operational considerations.

Pierre-André led the design of a refrigeration machine room for a food processing plant. The project incorporated ammonia-based systems and heat recovery solutions. Valued at over $5 million, it significantly increased production capacity while optimizing energy consumption.
He was also involved in the construction of an all-electric recycling sorting plant. The challenges of ventilation, pressurization and management of a very dusty environment called for innovative, large-scale solutions.
In the agri-food sector, he has contributed to major energy optimization projects. These projects have significantly reduced natural gas consumption, water consumption and GHG emissions, while improving process performance.
